Jim,
I really enjoyed looking at your presentation. I didn't have the benefit of your verbal comments to go along with it but I found your visual depiction of how services are "different" very compelling. Keep up the good work!

Nope. Not from Lawson. When I visited them, their presentation on Web Services had to do with the Graphical User Interface not Web Services (UDDI, SOAP, XML). They actually refused to answer the questions.

These are excellent questions.
Did you ever get any responses? If so, did you post them somewhere?
Thank you,

I've been working in this area for several years. Industry has been the main leader in practice. Researchers and academics usually see very little parts of the architecture space and can thus contribute very limited understanding to the whole issue of IT architecture.

Architects are just job titles given by employers, not a recognised qualification.

I'm quite happy to be part of such a group if the distance is not a problem.

Really interesting article. The most important aspect in optimization is fresh and quality content which is simply loved by various search engines.

RSS provide you a way to have new fresh links on your website every single day which helps you to gain good content every single day. RSS is not considered unethical, and it is something appreciated by Search Engines. RSS is nothing, but simple flow of information from one end to another.

There is nothing wrong with adding RSS to your Blogs, Article website. If your blog/website is an interesting one, you will end up getting thousands of subscribers for your XML RSS .
Having more and more back links towards your website will push your website to the top 1st Page on various search engines.

I agree with 11 and it's point about planning ahead, but I think it might be as valuable to break into smaller groups as a conscious plan. A host or two and a few of the visitors; it could be a BOF kind of group. It might be the introvert in me, but I get lost in large dinner groups, I want to hear everything, so I really hear nothing. After a long day in a large group, a smaller group is more relaxing, and productive getting to know a couple people well, and it is much easier to get reservations. Just a thought.

Great blog, Jim.
